In order to transform the children and balance their immediate deficiencies, a special make-up home lesson plan was drawn from the onset, to provide instructions on foundational issues such as alphabets (ABC…), numbers (123). Also simple grammatical expressions, pronunciations, personality development, moral and spiritual instructions, sanitation/health, Habits, conduct etc are taught. After picking up, they were later enrolled in the conventional school system and they are picking up well.

They are also taught skill acquisition at home at weekends. Examples of skills taught include tailoring, Bead making, plaiting, and baking

The motto of the Noble Homes orphanage is “Love and care” This motto has become the cardinal principle of the operations hear. Without care and love, the essence of establishing and running an orphanage stands defeated.

Mary and her Husband Moses Mabur are seasoned teachers and instructors based on their competencies in education. However, there are also a number of committed as well as trained volunteer instructors whose competencies have been assessed. They take lessons in any field on a voluntary basis for the newly enrolled orphans before joining the conventional school system.

However concerning house and home keeping rules, permanent caregivers have been engaged, to provide home keeping services under the coordinators’ supervision. The number of permanent caregivers will increase with the increase in the number of children and funds to pay for their allowances.

All the children admitted from inception had a history of very poor educational, moral and spiritual backgrounds. They were not in any school system at all hence they could not understand alphabet. Consequently, they could not cope with their mates in the conventional schooling system. To close the gap, an aggressive home-based instructional plan was scheduled with the cooperation of the instructors mentioned above.

Today all the children have been enrolled in the conventional school system and they are performing wonderfully.
